Philodendron White Wizard Marble showcases bold white variegation splashed across deep green foliage in irregular, marbled patterns. This sought-after cultivar produces elongated leaves that can reach 8-12 inches in length at maturity, with variegation covering anywhere from 30-70% of each leaf surface.
The marbling effect creates a paint-splattered appearance that varies significantly from leaf to leaf. As a climbing variety, it benefits from moss poles or other vertical supports, potentially reaching 3-4 feet indoors. White Wizard is believed to be a sport or mutation of Philodendron erubescens, though its exact origins remain somewhat unclear within collector circles.
The "Marble" designation emphasizes specimens with particularly swirled or blended variegation rather than sectoral blocks. This tropical aroid traces its ancestry to Central and South American rainforests.
